　　where else和what else后不可接名詞，else用在不定代詞和疑問代詞的后面，what other后面要接名詞。不過在英語中這種句型通常是考察other和else的用法。

　　other和else都可作形容詞，表示“別的”，但用法完全不同。other修飾名詞，位于名詞之前，else修飾不定代詞（something，everything，anything，nothing，somebody，everybody，anybody，nobody等），疑問代詞（who，which，what等）和疑問副詞（when，where等），必須位于這些詞之后，與other的位置恰好相反。

　　other可作形容詞或代詞，做形容詞時，意思是“別的，其他”，泛指“其他的（人或物）”。如：Do you have any other question(s)？你還有其他問題嗎？Ask some other people。問問別人吧！

　　else表示“另外的”表示“除此之外，還有”，相當于besides,如：What else can I say？我還能說什么呢？else還可放在不定代詞或疑問詞后面，例如：somebody else/what else。
